i-MailDS - The e-mail solution
i-MailDS is Digital Integrations' flagship product. It is the one-box internet e-mail solution for Novell networks. Whether you need a full company wide e-mail solution, an intelligent internet collection facility for GroupWise (without static IP addresses) or even a way to integrate existing applications with internet e-mail, i-MailDS does it all.

Originally designed over three years ago, i-MailDS entered the arena as a solution for small companies using GroupWise to collect their internet mail without requiring high-cost dedicated internet links. Since then it has grown well beyond its original blueprint and undergone major enhancements and testing to be the product it is today.

In September 1998, i-MailDS was first certified as a NetWare 'YES' tested & approved product along side the launch of Novells leading OS, NetWare 5. In fact, we were there in San Francisco for the launch to show our support, along with many other vendors. Since then i-MailDS has enjoyed a very successful career being awarded a place in the 1998 Novell Developers Contest, followed shortly after by a major upgrade of features and the CD-ROM release early this year.

i-MailDS is YES tested & approved
i-MailDS continues to be enhanced and improved and we will see the release of a whole new set of features coming out soon. While that major development is underway, small components are continually slipped into the downloadable product to give you a taste of what is coming next.

Explanation of versions

i-MailDS can be licenced to run in one of two modes, user licenced or blind forwarding.

The user licenced versions (10, 50 & unlimited) allow connection to the i-MailDS server as a fully functional stand alone e-mail system to which users connect with any popular e-mail client software using the standard POP3 and SMTP protocols. This is the most popular way of using i-MailDS and enables you to take full advantage of the rich feature set available.

In the blind forwarder mode, i-MailDS acts as a router for another e-mail system, typically GroupWise, via the SMTP gateway. As a forwarder i-MailDS performs the collection of mail from the internet on behalf of GroupWise and forwards the mail on, as if you had a dedicated connection - GroupWise does not even know. Being 'blind' means that i-MailDS simply forwards mail collected from the internet into the GroupWise system without regard for user names, and it is up to GroupWise to perform functions such as returning misdirected mail and PostMaster functions.

The blind forwarder can also provides enhanced outbound mail scheduling for GroupWise if desired.

How to use the demo

To use the demo version of i-Mail, simply download the full product from the download page and install.

By default the demonstration codes will be installed by the installation guide and i-Mail will run with almost all functionality for a limited time. The only feature that is reduced is the number of mailboxes that i-Mail will allow you to access. This is reduced to 5 users in the demo version.

Be sure to select the correct demo codes as i-Mail runs differently in GroupWise forwarding mode. If you are having difficulty locating the demo codes click here to view them now.
